The Shanghai Baoye Group's PCT Patent application for the 'Reducing Furnace AGD Pipeline Disassembly and Installation Device and Method' (international application number: PCT/CN2012/074880) was recently reviewed and authorized by the South Africa National Intellectual Property Office, marking the Group's first authorized PCT patent and encouraging the creative passion of its sci-tech staff.
The Shanghai Baoye Group delivered the application to the South Africa National Intellectual Property Office in February 2012. Compared with normal construction methods, the reducing furnace AGD pipeline disassembly and installation method requires shorter disassembly and installation time and largely reduces the construction period and security risks. This patented technology has been successfully applied in the construction of the No.2 COREX furnace AGD pipeline (two pipes) of the Baosteel Luojing Branch Iron Factory, and achieved the acceptance and high evaluation of the factory owner for its excellent performance. In addition, this patented technology can be widely applied in such construction fields as smelting , electric and other similar projects in the industry.
