On the morning of November 5, the Party group of China Minmetals paid a visit themed "Staying True to the Founding Mission" to the Museum of the Communist Party of China. Weng Zuliang, Party secretary and chairman of China Minmetals, Guo Wenqing, general manager and deputy Party secretary, and some Party members attended the event.
At the exhibition hall, the giant lacquer painting "Ode to the Great Wall", which was made of 100 lacquer panels and covered an area of 600 square meters, was magnificent, majestic, and shocking. After that, everyone visited the four parts of the exhibition: "Establishing the Communist Party of China and winning the great victory of the New Democratic Revolution", "Establishing the People's Republic of China and carrying out socialist revolution and construction", "Implementing reform and opening up and creating and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics", "Promoting socialism with Chinese characteristics into a new era and building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and starting a new journey of building a modern socialist country". Everyone looked back on the glorious history of the Party over the last century and understood the great spiritual power of the Party.
During the visit, Weng Zuliang pointed out that at the crucial point of the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC, we came to the "Red Exhibition Hall", which recorded the history of the Party over the last century, to carry out on-site study and to review the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping when he visited the exhibition, which helped us draw strengths from the Party's centenary journey and gain the power to be a world-class enterprise. Party members and officials of China Minmetals should arm their minds with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strengthen their ideals and beliefs, enhance their political orientation, and preserve the political nature of the Party; in the pursuit of the original mission, we should understand what CPC sought when building the Party, why the Party was established, what the Party relied on, and what the Party relied on to strengthen itself. We needed to adhere to the combination of historical logic, practical logic and theoretical logic, and strive to promote the reform and development of China Minmetals and the construction of the Party. We should inspire all officials and workers to inherit the red gene of serving the country through mining, make good use of red resources, continue the red bloodline, stand at the height of serving the overall situation of the Party and the country, work harder for the development of the core businesses of metal mining, make unremitting efforts to ensure the supply of metal resources, and walk the Long March of the new era.
“The Party started from Shikumen in Shanghai and Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing and made great achievements along the way," Guo Wenqing said. From "A Little Spark Kindles a Great Fire" at Shuikoushan to the "800 miners going to Mt. Jinggang", China Minmetals followed the Party all the way to undertake the mission of serving the country. During the visit, we saw Angang Group, Pangang Group and the first high-rise building representing the Shenzhen Speed. These are the high-quality projects we participated in. This visit was a spur for us and we should bear in mind our original mission, make further efforts, recreate the best products, create glory again, and strive to build a world-class metal and mineral enterprise.
About 100 Party members from the headquarters of China Minmetals and the Party organizations of the directly managed enterprises visited the exhibition on that day. Everyone said that through the visit, they realized that the great achievements of the Party over the past 100 years were hard-won and the successful experience over the past 100 years was precious. Everyone should build consensus, be energetic, draw wisdom and strength from the history of the Party, and make new achievements in the reform and development of China Minmetals.
