On October 28, a team led by Zhang Mengxing, China MCC President and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of MCC and China MCC, had a work meeting with Zhao Ge, Secretary of the CPC Hengshui Municipal Committee, and Wu Xiaohua, Mayor of Hengshui City. Both parties had in-depth and friendly exchanges in the fields of old downtown reconstruction, urban infrastructure construction, new urbanization construction, underground comprehensive pipe network, ecological environment engineering, theme parks, and prefabricated buildings.
Zhang Mengxing first expressed his gratitude to the CPC Hengshui Municipal Committee and Hengshui Municipal People's Government for their strong support and assistance to MCC over the years, and then he briefly introduced the company development. He pointed out that MCC was the world's largest, strongest and most optimal metallurgical engineering construction contractor and operation service provider, and it has undertaken more than 90% of the design and construction tasks from large domestic steel companies and more than 60% from the world. Relying on its technical advantages accumulated in the field of iron and steel metallurgy, MCC has realized the transformation and upgrading to the non-metallurgical field. It is committed to being the national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of infrastructure construction, and the leader of emerging industries. It has long adhered to the road of high-tech and high-quality development. It has made outstanding achievements in high-end housing construction, comprehensive venues, rail transit, environmental engineering, soil remediation, sewage treatment, garbage incineration, theme parks, intelligent manufacturing and other fields. From January to September this year, the period when the unprecedented difficulties happened to production and operation, MCC achieved growth, and many indicators such as operating income, gross profit, and net profit hit an all-time high.
Zhang Mengxing stated that the advantageous strategic position and location of Hebei Province highly matched with the strategic layout and business development of MCC. At present, MCC has signed cooperation agreements in many regions of Hebei and has achieved fruitful results. The Langfang Oncology Hospital project invested and financed by MCC has created the speed of Langfang and is of great significance to improving the medical level of Hebei Province. As the "youngest" prefecture-level city in Hebei Province, Hengshui City features a benign development momentum and has great potential in the future. After considering Hengshui City as an important strategic market, MCC has successively built Hengshui Comprehensive Pipeline Project, Wuyi Steel Pipeline Project, Expo Garden Enterprise Exhibition Park Project, High-speed Railway Station Square Project, and other projects, and successfully held 2017 China Cities New Technology Application Promotion Conference for Integrated Steel Pipeline. It is hoped that on the basis of the previous good cooperation, the two parties can seek a more innovative and cooperative pattern and expand the cooperation space in the old downtown reconstruction, underground comprehensive pipeline system, high-end housing construction, urban infrastructure and new urbanization construction, sewage treatment, waste incineration, theme parks, prefabricated buildings, and ecological environment. A special working group should be set up in a timely manner to strengthen docking, sort out the implementation details one by one, refine work plans, and start work quickly to ensure that work in all respects are advanced with quality and efforts can be devoted to building a beautiful city of Hengshui.

By thoroughly implementing the decisions and deployments of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee and the Hebei Provincial People's Government to promote epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, Hengshui city keeps employment, the financial sector, foreign trade, foreign and domestic investments, and expectations stable; ensures employment for residents, basic wellbeing of the people, development of market entities, food and energy security, stable industrial and supply chains, and operation at the grassroots level so that we can achieve the goal that the third quarter is better than the second quarter, laying a solid foundation for realizing the annual goals, tasks, and the "three successful conclusions".
Zhao Ge said that with the in-depth advancement of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development, the large-scale construction in the Xiong'an New Area, and the establishment of China (Hebei) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Hengshui city had now transformed its basic advantages in location, industry, ecology, and education into reality. At present, Hengshui is in the critical stage of transition to leapfrogging development. The huge demand for capital and project construction provides a broad space for the two parties to deepen cooperation. It is hoped that MCC will give full play to its comprehensive advantages in management, technology, talent, and capital, and further strengthen practical cooperation in a wider range of fields, such as metallurgical construction, urban infrastructure construction, new urbanization construction, theme parks, and ecological environment, at a higher level. In this regard, we will strive to achieve mutual benefit and win-win.
