On September 6, China 19th Metallurgical Corporation (MCC19) received the Letter of Acceptance for the RAWAL Suburban Road Reconstruction and Upgrading Project in Kavieng City, New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea.
The Project is located in the RAWAL suburb of Kavieng, the capital of New Ireland Province. It is a municipal project of Kavieng. The road is 4.7 km long, involving construction works such as subgrade replacement, base course, asphalt laying, culvert pipe cleaning, and installation of new culvert pipes. After being completed, the Project will greatly facilitate the travel of residents in nearby communities, accelerate the construction of urban roads in Kavieng, improve the urban transportation network, and promote the development of local urban road infrastructure construction.
