On October 25, MCC International Incorporation Ltd. and China MCC22 Group Corporation Ltd. jointly won the bid for Indonesian laterite nickel ore hydrometallurgy project.
The Project, located in Morowali Industrial Park, Sulawesi, Indonesia, is to build a hydrometallurgical plant with a production capacity of not less than 50,000 tons of nickel metal and 4,000 tons of cobalt metal. The works mainly include the installation of supporting equipment and pipelines, fabrication of pipe rack, and fabrication & installation of B02C steel structures.
The Project will help to build a manufacturing system of nickel, a raw material of new energy power battery in the world to meet the world's strategic demands for low-cost and high-quality nickel resources for the development of new energy. Upon completion, it will become the manufacturing base of raw materials for the world's advanced power battery. The successful conclusion of the project contract further consolidates China MCC's core competitive advantage in the global nickel hydrometallurgy field, and lays a solid foundation for China MCC to develop more nickel smelting and related industrial construction projects in Indonesia and around the world.
