On July 5, the good news was received from Ecuador, the "State of Equator", that Wuhan Surveying Geotechnical Research Institute Co., Ltd. won the bid for the geotechnical engineering and hydrogeological investigation of the northern Mirador orebody, Ecuador.
The Project is located in Mirador Copper Mine, Zamora-Chinchipe Province, Ecuador, and is invested, developed and operated by EcuaCorriente S.A. (ECSA Company), the largest solid mine operator in Ecuador. WSGRI has provided services for the company for many years and has completed several projects such as geotechnical investigation, design and construction of the Mirador Copper Mine Phase I Project. For this contract awarded project, WSGRI will be mainly responsible for the hydrological-engineering-environmental geological drilling of Northern Mirador Orebody, including the boreholes for engineering survey, hydrogeology and water monitoring.
In the face of the severe COVID-19 pandemic in Ecuador, WSGRI strived to prevent and control the pandemic with concerted efforts while keeping production and operation by a two-pronged approach, laying a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the markets in Ecuador and South America. At present, WSGRI is actively carrying out the preliminary preparation for the project.
